Former LJ Hooker marketer joins #TeamPropic

Updated: May 23, 2022

Rising AI star also attracts four new sales and product-development recruits

SYDNEY, Australia - 4 November 2021. People-first property intelligence start-up, Propic, has appointed former LJ Hooker and REA Group Asia marketeer Stephanie Charalambous as Head of Marketing, effective immediately. Ms Charalambous joins the senior leadership team at Propic to lead all marketing and communications efforts for the #proptech AI start-up as it transforms itself into a globally relevant technology partner for the real estate industry.

A recent stint in Singapore saw Ms Charalambous consolidate more than 25 years senior marketing experience as a consultant before returning to Sydney earlier this year. She previously worked as Commercial Marketing Manager for LJ Hooker, and more recently, led the CommercialAsia website for REA Group Asia. She has a strong foundation in the financial services industry as well having developed and implemented marketing campaigns and strategies for Perpetual Limited, MLC/NAB and Russell Investments earlier in her career.

“It’s such an exciting time to join Propic. One day we’ll all look back on these days and tell stories about how people used to wait 72 hours or more for a response from a real estate agent, and laugh and shake our heads. Propic has a truly transformative people-first proptech approach, and it’s a privilege to spread the word out to more Australian property leaders in this new role,” she said.

Propic Chief Commercial Officer, David Choi, led the recruitment search and is “absolutely thrilled” to have “someone of Stephanie’s character and calibre” join #TeamPropic, along with a number of strategic sales and product hires.

Ellie Colovatti, Kyle Barnes, Will Russell and Peter Charara are also key recent sales and product focused recruits tasked with driving developer, project marketing and residential property agency growth in Sydney, Canberra and Melbourne. They bring a wealth of experience from multinational brands like Domain, Fairfax,Console, CBRE and Proptech leaders including RealTime Agent, AgentBox and ActivePipe.

“We’re on a fast upward trajectory at Propic. After the $6m injection of Series A funding from Antony Catalano and Alex Waislitz earlier this year our pace has only quickened as more real estate agency leaders look to Propic for answers to spending more time on things that matter, and using our AI-driven approach to automate and accelerate growth while delivering an amazing customer experience,” Mr Choi said.

Ms Charalambous holds a Bachelor of Marketing and Finance, and Masters in Communication, Marketing and Organisational Behaviour from the University of NSW
