Katrina developed a passion for real estate from a young age, working in her father’s office assisting with enquiries about house and land packages. And now with almost 30 years of experience in real estate, Katrina still enjoys helping people find their dream home.

Q: What do you like most about your current job?
Definitely, the culture that exists within Harcourts. We don’t just put our values up on the wall, we live by them: People first, Doing the right thing, Being courageous, and all done with Fun and laughter.
Q: What excites you most about the real estate industry?
The sheer pace of the industry has always excited me but in the past five years observing the rapid digital and Proptech evolution has been simply extraordinary. This technology excites me because it’s not aimed at replacing agents, rather it is enabling agents to provide the finest experience in real estate.
If you consider this digital evolution in context with the pillars of CX – personalisation, speed, transparency and value proposition - it’s been an absolute game-changer to how we interact with our clients.
Q: What's a defining memory from the first property you tried to rent/buy for yourself as a young person?
My own love affair with property investment started when I was 19 years and purchased my first humble 3-bedroom investment home for $120,000 in Camden, South-west Sydney.
Q. What made you get into real estate? Was it by "design or default"?
Some people are foodies, I am a ‘real-estate–ie’. Everything that’s great in my life has come from real estate….lifelong friends, learnings, travel, experiences. My father worked in property development, and I spent many a weekend as a young girl in his office chatting to people about house and land packages, I got hooked very early on with the joy of helping people find their dream home.
Q. What’s your proudest professional achievement to date?
Looking back over 28 years I think of that girl that started off as an agency receptionist and is now a CEO, I am immensely proud.
